Here's a little background on us:
My fiance and I met in college and we were good friends for two years. On October 27, 2007 we began dating and we purchased my engagement ring in November 2008. I was convinced he was going to propose at his fraternity's Christmas event that was held on December 5, 2008. When I teased him about knowing this was when he was going to propose, he convinced me that he would not be doing it then because one of his fraternity brothers would be proposing to his girlfriend the following day and we are good friends with the couple so he didn't want to steal their thunder. Then, minutes before the event, his friend asked me how I would want to be proposed to. I shrug it off but also get a little suspicious. By the time I convinced my self it really was not going to happen that night, my fiance is going around the room handing out candy canes dressed as Santa. He then gets on stage and says that Santa has one more gift to give out. He then walked over to me and proposed in front of many of our friends and his brother, who just "happened" to be visiting that day.
